Our mid-range enduro hardtail for gravity-focused trail/enduro riding, the 905 shares the same award-winning DNA of our ultimate trail/enduro hardtail, the 909 X, but with a mechanical transmission together with a sorted right from the shop-floor spec to deliver you exceptional performance everywhere on the trail.

The 905 has been designed so you can tackle the most technical descents, challenging gravity trails and testing liaisons with absolute composure and confidence, before climbing back up to hit them again.
Our holistic ‘Total Geometry’ approach blends both geometry together with component selection to create a bike that’s totally tuned to deliver you the best ride possible, right from the very start. The 905’s progressive geometry balances confident but instantly reactive steering with all-day ride and climbing comfort, together with 130mm travel RockShox forks a to suck up trouble without sucking out your speed.
We’ve specially tuned the 905’s wide rim and tyre combination to engineer a ride that feels less harsh when you’re riding hard to give you greater grip, compliance and control when pushing it to the raggedy edge: 27.5in x 2.8in tyres have a rolling diameter like some smaller 29in tyres but, due to the wider and larger diameter of them, when paired with a wide rim (35mm internal width) this allows us to take advantage of the tyre’s massive internal air volume so you can run lower tyre pressures and significantly increase the compliance of your ride – perfect for keeping things cool, calm and collected on square-edged hits, as well as on traction-lite and off-camber sections for impeccable control and outrageous fun on every ride.

The 905 combines RockShox’s impeccable Pike Select RC DebonAir130mm fork with the Charger RC damper and a 37mm offset together with or wide 780mm Whyte riser bar and short 35mm Gravity stem for smoothly precise and confident control. Mechanical SRAM 1x12 NX Eagle gearing gives you sharp and crisp shifting together with the range to hammer the descents and spin back up, while SRAM’s reliably powerful Guide T four-piston hydraulic disc brakes maximise your braking control. The triple compound Maxxis High Roller II front tyre and fast rolling Rekon rear tyre combination also put control and speed exactly where you need them to drive you forward and hold your lines. Our own Whyte Drop.It dropper post with a size-specific drop (S/M size frame = 150mm; L/XL = 170mm) also gives you all the room to maneuver when things get committed.
Unique, fully sealed BBX63 internal cable and hose routing and seat post collar keeps controls silent, free of dirt and secure but easy to service – even through the worst conditions. Our 1X-specific SCR (Single Chain Ring) frame design also gives masses of mud room while keeping handling tight and responsive, while double-sealed hubs and DT Swiss spokes help minimise maintenance.
