All new chassis
Whyte Secta’s chassis has been developed from the ground-up with our latest geometry and performance thinking.
Of the 13 elements that go to make up the frame, nine are completely new. All to deliver you a fully featured frameset that’s the summation of 20 years of award-winning hardtail design.
Aluminium frame
Made from 6061-T6 heat treated aluminium with multi-shaped and formed tube profiles.
1X-specific
We pioneered 1X-specific frames and have continuously refined our frames to optimise mud room, stiffness, and responsive handling.
Threaded BB
The 73mm BSA BB-X 63 bottom bracket shell, has been redeveloped to allow for greater internal space for dropper seat posts when combined with larger 30mm diameter alloy crank axles.
External to internal routing
Continuous external headset cable/hose routing, into weather-sealed internal downtube routing, and externally along the chainstays.
SRAM UDH ready
SRAM UDH drive-side dropout spec keeps you future-proofed for upgrading your transmission as/when you wish.

A new reduced seat stay diameter and tubing gauge means lighter weight but, more importantly, increased compliance and torsional tuning for optimum hardtail ride-feel.
Long-stroke dropper
Full 300mm reamed depth 30.9mm seat tube for maximum dropper seat post insertion so you can tackle everything with total confidence.
Balanced handling
Whyte Secta’s modern trail geometry balances confident but instantly reactive steering with all-day ride and climbing comfort.

Fast-rolling 29in wheels paired with 2.5in Maxxis tyres give you the grip and the air volume to deliver comfort and control on every ride.

180mm rotors front and rear paired with hydraulic disc brakes deliver you reliable and controllable braking power on even the longest, fastest descents.

Carry essentials
Bottle cage and tool storage bosses let you easily carry water, tools and a tube. The low positioned bottle bosses also reduce the bike’s centre of gravity for great handling – even with a full water bottle.

The latest generation of our award-winning trail hardtail line translates perfect ‘Total Geometry’ poise through progressive geometry that balances confident but instantly reactive steering with all-day ride and climbing comfort.
• 63.5º head angle, 35mm stem and 44mm offset fork give confident but instantly reactive steering.
• Size-specific seat angles (75.5 º on size small, through to 77 º on extra-large frames) deliver all day comfort and an efficient climbing position.
• The sub-300mm ride height helps minimise the bike’s centre of gravity to deliver agile and responsive handling.
• Short offset forks and custom Whyte short stem, bars and grips complete your connection to the flowing, calm but hard-charging character that pro bike testers and trail riders love.

Weather-sealed cable routing
Keep the water out with weather-sealed cable and hose ports, combined with an uninterrupted cable outer running the from gear shifter to rear derailleur.
Weather-sealed seat clamp collar
Prevents water entering the frame via the seat clamp (Whyte Secta RS) and seatpost, keeping your frame and dropper post working sweeter for longer.
2.6in tyre clearance
Generous tyre clearance for up to 2.6in tyres between the seat and chainstays so you go big on tyre volume – without mud slowing you down.
Armoured frame
Tough, custom chain protection on the chainstay to both silence chain slap and keep the frame in great shape.
