Warranty FAQs
Got a warranty question? Our warranty FAQs and important terms info should help:
What is the warranty period for my Whyte or Whyte Certified Refurbished bike?
Nobody knows our bikes better than us which is why we back every Whyte bike with the best rider support out there, a two-year warranty against materials and manufacturing defects on all frames – which you can extend to four years or lifetime* (depending on model year of the bike and the purchase date) by registering your new bike with us – a lifetime warranty on all suspension pivot bearings together with a one-year warranty on parts, and a one-year cosmetic warranty on paint and decals. Just ensure you use the bike as intended; to help you make the right choice, all our bikes are clearly marked both online and physically on them as to what category of riding they’ve been designed for (e.g. ‘category three (3) – Trail riding’); you can read more about our bike classifications and intended uses here.
*Any 2024 model year (MY24) Whyte bike can have its standard frame warranty extended from two years to four years by registering your bike with us for free within 28 days of purchase. What is the warranty period for my Whyte Carbon Trail wheels?
All our Whyte Carbon Trail wheels come with a two-year warranty for the original owner as standard. On our Whyte Carbon Trail wheel equipped ELyte 150 bikes this means category four (4) – Enduro riding. You can read more about our bike classifications and intended uses here.
We also offer a two-year crash replacement or repair warranty for the original owner of our Whyte Carbon Trail wheels. So if anything does happen when you’re out riding within two years of when you bought the bike with your Whyte Carbon Trail wheels on, you can rest easy that we’ve got your back.

I’m not the first owner of my Whyte bike, do I have any warranty cover?
Whyte bikes warranty is only for the original purchaser of a product and doesn’t transfer to subsequent keepers. However, if you bought a Whyte Certified Refurbished bike directly from us via our web Outlet store then you are covered with a two-year warranty against materials and manufacturing defects on all frames, a lifetime warranty on all suspension pivot bearings together with a one-year warranty on parts, and a one-year cosmetic warranty on paint and decals. If you have a Whyte bike with a problem, but you didn’t purchase it brand new or via our web Outlet store, please contact us or your local Whyte retailer for assistance. We won’t be able to authorise a warranty claim, but we’ll do our best to help out where we can.
I have a warranty issue with a non-Whyte-branded component on my bike. What can I do?
If you’re the original owner and bought your bike new within the past 12 months (one year) then you’ll be covered by our one-year warranty on parts. If this is the case, please contact the Whyte retailer that supplied the product originally. They’ll be able to submit a claim and support you in getting the issue resolved smoothly.
If you bought the bike longer than one year ago then the third-party parts (such as SRAM, Shimano, Fox, or Bosch etc.) won’t be covered by our warranty any longer. However, third-party components are all warrantied directly by the manufacturer themselves so, although the warranty periods do vary, please contact the brands directly or Whyte retailer who you bought the bike from as they will be best placed to advise you.
