Both Karve and Karve EVO run the Avinox M2S motor system with a peak power of 1300W and torque of 150Nm.

Both bikes use an 800Wh internal battery integrated into the downtube.

We could have used a smaller capacity battery to deliver an even higher peak power of 1500W - as some other brands have - but we felt that a) 1300W is a serious amount of power already, and b) we wanted to maximise the range riders could get from their battery - hence using the largest 800Wh battery on both Karve and Karve EVO.

No, we're afraid not. The battery fitment and sizing of the FP700 (700Wh) battery is physically different to the FS800 (800Wh) battery so it won't fit.

No, the battery is not user removable but can be changed in the workshop. However, the Karve EVO RSX and Karve RSX models come with the 12A fast charger which makes re-charging a swift process, so you could ride in the morning, charge while you're having lunch, and ride out again in the afternoon. The 12A fast charger is also available aftermarket for Karve EVO RS and Karve RS riders wishing to upgrade to fast charging.

Karve RSX and Karve EVO RSX bikes come with the 12A fast charger. You can expect these bikes to charge to 80% in 1hr 45mins approx. from empty, and to 100% in 2hrs 23mins approx.  

Karve RS and Karve EVO RS bikes come with the 4A charger. This will charge the battery to 80% in 4hr 54mins approx. from empty, and to 100% in 6hrs 11mins approx. with 4A charger. If you wanted to upgrade to the 12A charger, these are available to purchase aftermarket. Just speak to your retailer.

Yes, you can use the FS600 (600Wh) fixed internal battery safely if you wanted a smaller battery capacity and lower overall bike weight.

The bikes come with the Avinox DPC100 Flat touchscreen top tube display; this is compatible with navigation and heart rate control features via Bluetooth connection to a smartphone running the Avinox app.

Yes. You can switch geo from the bike's stock ‘High’ to ‘Low’ setting – to slacken geo by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket by 8mm – for more gravity-friendly handling. We've also specced ZS56 headset cups which allow compatibility with aftermarket angleset-style adjustable headsets so you can tailor the bike's geometry still further.

Yes. Karve ships as a full 29er and converts to MX via a Shape.It Link swap. Karve EVO ships as MX and converts to full 29er the same way.

Yes you can change from the stock MX – ‘mullet’ or ‘mixed’ 29in front, 27.5in rear – wheels to full 29er (29in front and rear) by changing the bike's ‘Shape.It’ link. Just replace the bike’s stock Shape.It link (62-66mm; WAMLINK07) with the Shape.It link (58-62mm; WAMLINK06) and a suitable category four (enduro) rated rear wheel laced with an eBike rated rear hub. Please note: size S is MX-only and can’t be converted to 29er.

Yes, you can tailor your bike to your taste even more by converting it from full 29er (29in wheels front and rear) to MX wheels (mixed/'mullet' (29in front, 27.5in rear wheel): simply swap the bike’s stock Shape.It link with the MX-specific version (62-66mm; WAMLINK07) together with a suitable e-MTB rated 27.5in rear wheel (category 4, enduro) to retain the ability to switch between high and low geometry settings with the new wheelsize set-up. Please note: size S comes stock as MX and can’t be converted to 29er.

Yes, that’s true. Karve EVO RSX and Karve RSX models come fitted from the factory with Ride Wrap, with 85% coverage to keep your frame in prime condition from the very start. If you paid for the kit and professional installation, this could cost anywhere from £200-£300.

No, this doesn’t include the forks - just the frame. If you wanted to also wrap your forks, just speak to your local dealer.

Yes, absolutely. Ride Wrap make aftermarket kits for Karve EVO and Karve frames; just speak to your local dealer about getting this installed on your Karve EVO RS or Karve RS.

The kinematics are moderately progressive with a fairly high starting ratio and low anti-squat. The high starting ratio delivers good small bump sensitivity at the start of the stroke for greater control and comfort; the moderate progressivity delivers greater mid-stroke support, preventing the bike from diving too deep into its travel, as well as avoiding harsh bottom-outs on big hits and drops at the end-stroke. The low anti-squat delivers active suspension under pedalling for improved grip on the trail and less pedal kickback.

The kinematics are very similar to Karve EVO (see above) but with shorter travel, it delivers a more reactive, trail-focused ride experience.

Yes you can fit a coil shock on Karve EVO. You’ll need a 230x62.5 coil shock.

No, we’re afraid not: the bikes have not been designed to be fitted with a triple clamp fork.
