Why E-180 Works MX?
Built around the first ever competition eMTB engine – the Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition motor from Bosch – the E-180 Works features an all-new gravity frame with race dominating 180mm front/170mm rear suspension, SRAM’s very latest game-changing XX Eagle AXS wireless electronic transmission, and MX wheels (29er front, 27.5” rear) so you can tackle everything full-gas – no matter how rowdy or steep.
Featuring an all-new gravity frameset, the e-180’s frame maximises the advantage of our unique tilted motor and super low-slung battery arrangement – which brings the bike’s centre of gravity as low as possible – to deliver riders ultra-stable, dynamically centred and confident handling on any terrain. Our ‘in-tube’ battery design also creates a stronger, sleeker, smarter frame that exceeds the highest safety levels by nearly 250% in some areas; vital when racing events that are longer, harder and more brutal than any other in mountain biking.
The Bosch Performance Line CX Race Limited Edition motor delivers more power, more quickly and for longer from a lighter block. So you can accelerate harder, hold top speed better and even kick-boost through technical sections you can’t pedal and literally leave the competition standing.
The 750Wh battery gives hours of power on hardcore race stages and epic liaisons and the new bar-mounted LED Remote provides all the connectivity and control you need. We also collaborated with Bosch to develop our Axial Rail slide-in battery technology; this makes mid-race battery switches super easy.

DT Swiss wheels are designed to handle the brutal extra torque and flat-out race battering and the MX 29er/27.5” wheelsize pairing is the fastest we’ve tested and raced on.
Our Shape.It link ‘flip-chip’ allows you to change the geometry of the bike easily and quickly without affecting the suspension kinematics by raising or lowering the Bottom Bracket (BB) height. By using the shock extender and effectively moving the eye-to-eye length of the shock, the BB can be lifted or lowered. Switch it between high and low positions to slacken the bike out by 0.6 degrees and lower the BB by 8mm.
Please note: our custom motor covers are not currently compatible with the aftermarket Bosch eBike Alarm and Connect module to add bike tracking and alarm functionality to your Smart System bike.
