Why E-180 S MX?
Built around Bosch’s powerful and super-reliable CX Performance 85Nm motor, the E-180 S MX uses our latest gravity e-frame with 180mm fork and 170mm rear suspension together with MX wheels (29er front, 27.5” rear) for bossing the biggest features and fastest, roughest descents.
Bosch’s extra-large internal 750Wh battery shrinks the biggest mountains, opens up epic terrain, and delivers hour after hour, run after run range on the biggest tracks and bike park lines.
Our confidence-inspiring Total Geometry system coupled with an MX wheel set-up ensures the E-180 S MX ‘plays and slays’ on the tightest, steepest tracks but still has your back when you’re flat out through boulder fields with handling that’s agile and alive for maximum fun.
Features & Equipment
The new frameset maximises the advantage of our unique tilted motor and super low-slung battery arrangement, which brings the bike’s centre of gravity as low as possible, to deliver you ultra-stable, dynamically centred and confident handling at any speed and on any terrain while short 165mm cranks deliver maximum pedal control and ground clearance.
Our innovative in-tube battery frame design is also far stronger and stiffer than open tube frames, surviving near-metric ton slam loads in testing so you can feel totally safe full sending on the hill, and the unique slide-in/out Axial Rail System also makes battery removal and installation for home charging simple and hassle free.
Our Shape.It link ‘flip-chip’ allows you to change the geometry of the bike easily and quickly without affecting the suspension kinematics by raising or lowering the Bottom Bracket (BB) height. By using the shock extender and effectively moving the eye-to-eye length of the shock, the BB can be lifted or lowered. Switch it between high and low positions to slacken the bike out by 0.6 degrees and lower the BB by 8mm.

Please note: our custom motor covers are not currently compatible with the aftermarket Bosch eBike Alarm and Connect module to add bike tracking and alarm functionality to your Smart System bike.
