Why E-180 RSX MX?
The E-180 RSX is built around Bosch’s Performance Line CX 85Nm motor with its four climb-shrinking power modes so you can effortlessly self-shuttle or conquer the most challenging natural terrain; combined with huge 180mm front/170mm rear suspension and MX (29er front/27.5” rear) wheels, the E-180 RSX is ready for sending the biggest lines, jumps, drops and features with total confidence.
The new frameset maximises the advantage of our unique tilted motor and super low-slung battery arrangement, which brings the bike’s centre of gravity as low as possible, to deliver you ultra-stable, dynamically centred and confident handling at any speed and on any terrain – so you can corner on rails and not high-side wide – while short 165mm cranks deliver maximum pedal control and ground clearance.
We optimised the suspension to be ultra-sensitive and reactive for traction but still support the e-bike weight super well through G-outs and the biggest berms; we also tweaked our Total Geometry system and used an MX wheel set up so the E-180 plays and slays on the tightest, steepest tracks but still has your back when you’re flat out through boulder fields with handling that’s agile and alive for maximum fun.
The extra-large 750Wh battery gives hour after hour, run after run on the biggest tracks and bike park lines, with a unique slide-out system for fast home charging removal and smaller battery options. Our innovative in-tube design is far stronger and stiffer than open tube frames, surviving almost metric ton slam loads in testing so you can feel totally safe full-sending on the hill.
Features & Equipment
To give you the best performance possible for when you’re pushing hard on the biggest terrain, we've equipped the E-180 RSX with 'sorted right from the box' parts selection headlined by Fox's impeccable Factory series suspension units front and rear; wireless electronic shifting across the 1x12 tranmission from SRAM's X01 Eagle AXS; reliable and controllable braking power on even the longest, roughest descents with SRAM Code RSC four-piston hydraulic disc brakes (220mm front rotor; 200mm rear); ebike-tough DT Swiss wheels; and top-drawer Maxxis' dual-compound Assegai WT TR EXO+ tyres with Double Down Casing in the rear to shrug off the hardest knocks.
Our Shape.It link ‘flip-chip’ allows you to change the geometry of the bike easily and quickly without affecting the suspension kinematics by raising or lowering the Bottom Bracket (BB) height. By using the shock extender and effectively moving the eye-to-eye length of the shock, the BB can be lifted or lowered. Switch it between high and low positions to slacken the bike out by 0.6 degrees and lower the BB by 8mm.
